United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Galway Green

we went for the FL2 because of the feel of luxury, a classy nice looking car, the 4x4 winter use...general reliability and i suppose to a lesser part because it is BRITISH Built !
but
I would have liked to see much higher real life MPG no im happy with Land Rovers...should be after having them for 15 years !!

the new front grille looks nice and I like the look of it.....Butt the square fogs dont look right to me, all in all the changes dont add value to the car and id sooner wait for the FL3.... im happy with my choice of my10 Sept 1 2010 Now the PROUD owner of Galway Green Auto Diesel HSE

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black

Hi all i dont like the alloys at all, not sure about the front end fogs lights seem out of place. Grill is quite nice the back end looks about the same. Not to fussed about the silver thing going across the tail gate. Inside new seats thats all. IMO not worth upgrading from my10. i will wait for the FL3 or move onto a D4 or RRS Thumbs Up

Tax Band is down from Band K to Band I

Very Interesting Stats - BUT - Our MY2010 FL2 "Newport" TD4-e Manual is officially better than your SD4 MY11 Auto according to LR's own data:

0-60mph - 8.5secs
CO2 - 179g/km
MPG - 42.5mpg
Energy Efficiency Tax Band A (here in CH) Very Happy

Must be a super Swiss version. The 10my S/S figures in the UK are 10.9 Sec and 42.2 MPG, however Co2 is the same.

No idea James - but the figures I quote are in the official LR publication 64 / LTP000052D 10/3.2

Overall I like it, Front Bumper and Square Fogs make it look a little tougher, the bling on the Tailgate, ok ish, but the High Level Stop Light looks odd, not so bad on the HSE but the models without the Spoiler especially in the dark colours I'm not so sure about.

The 190 will be good for us that tow trailers so we can quickly get past those bCensored tractors though Whistle

It's all very well the SD4 being more powerful and something for new owners to boast about but where do you draw the line. Is the FL3 going to have 400bhp for one-upmanship so new owners can boast even more Laughing

The change in power from the FL1 to the FL2 was the perfect leap in power. It is quick enough and if I wanted more speed and power I would have bought something else.

As for the shape, I would honestly not swap my MY10 for it for free. Of course residuals will be better with facelift but for me the MY10 is far better looking. That is my honest opinion not sour grapes Laughing

I will wait to see the FL3 before changing or see what a D4 works out at in a few years.

United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

What does the SD stand for? Are they all SD or some still TD4.

I really don't think there is enough of a change to the front. We will notice it but will many non FL2 owners & prospective buyers?

Rear plinth is a bit odd to be honest.

Seat leather looks far more luxurious than that of present. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Lago Grey

I'm more than happy with my MY10 FL2 XS - there really doesn't seem to be much of a difference to the interior (thought they might have changed the speedo & rev dials to different colours rather than all green and maybe with red needles ?)..... The FL3 will be the major change - just hope it doesn't resemble the LRX.....
