Just pull up the whole silver surround and it comes up easily |

First pull the gear knob off if you've got a manual box. No idea with an auto box.

open bonnet and oil the cables at that end instead( under air box), oiling under the gaiter didnt help mine, At work |

Thanks for ur fast replys guys. If I had more time id run it in as its still under warranty. Athelsan thankyou for the step by step, I do worry Il lose a wire in the process.

just wondering how did you fix it? mine has created a squeak when i push the gear stick from the neutral to first/second position cheers matt |

You have the same noise as me then. Only when you push it to sideways to first the otherway is fine.

Not sure if it's just under the gaitor, think it's more involved like CG said. I took it back to dealer to fix and they knew about as its a common fault. Phil |
