wheat price

As the wheat harvest harvest starts in a few days I'd like to take a moment to thank you all for paying an extra few pence per loaf and helping me pay for my next car Bow down ( stop surfing now and go and buy a chicken sandwich or ten Thumbs Up )

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/au...-inflation

it may gaul a few of you to help me to feed my family, but what the hey Rolling with laughter

but more sensibly the last time wheat prices soared the credit crunch followed close behind, maybe wheat is the last refuge for worried city traders before the Censored hit the fan ???? At work

Please keep growing the stuff, I also have a family to feed! You grow crops, weeds then grow, I then help kill them! Whistle

Let's hope there isn't a knee jurk reaction and grow loads of the stuff next year, good for me in the short term, but just adds to the volatility, which is no good for anyone.

Staple foods are still too cheap, although the Tescos weekly shop seems to continue rise well above inflation. Big Cry 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone

I think id postpone that new motor CG, were averaging 2 tonne/acre wheat over here today. We will have well under half our normal quantity by the end of the season.
Shame we sold 500 tonnes forward Big Cry
Funny thing these price hikes, trouble is when everything came back down nothing else seemed to follow. Rolling Eyes
