South Africa 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey
Rear door one touch windows

Good day
I seem to remember comments on one of the topics about the first touch down on the rear windows only drops them partly down on the newer models.
I have done a "search " but cant seem to find it.
Can someone please help Bow down I have been to the dealers today and they know of the new system but say they cannot find any software upgrade to retrofit the system to older vehicles.
Can anyone give me any info to allow me to help them look further?
Thanks

When mine delivered, my fronts didn't go one click either. A simple window reset solved it. Might be same as yours.

Turn on ignition without starting the motor (don't press the brake pedal while pushing start)

Open the concerned window all the way by holding down the button. Then first remove your finger briefly and press and hold in the down position once more for 5 seconds. Pull the window all the way up and do the same this time upwards. Do it for all windows with problems.

This calibrates them and one click function comes alive. After a battery removal, you might need the same procedure again (mine does need it). 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

ou toppie just wants to update / upgrade its window's opening system to partially open the rear windows during one-touch mode.
I believe that the dealer is right. The factory doesn't supply an "upgrading" firmware for the older cars.
The LR company just informed the dealers through the SSM41541 about the followings:

Models LF - Freelander 2
Title Freelander 2 / LR2 Rear Window one shot down function
Last Modified 25-JUN-2009 14:29
Category Noise/ Vibration
Symptom 701000 Windnoise
Issue: From VIN H156436 the one shot down function has been changed.
Cause: The change has been made so at the first press of the window switch the window will open to a comfort position
Action: The window switch will now work as follows:
1st press of the swich will lower the rear window aproximately 80mm to a comfort position. This is the optimum position to give the minimum wind noise when driving with the rear windows open
2nd press of the switch will lower the window to the fully open position
The rear windows will fully close from either position using the one shot up feature
