Is it for a Genuine Landrover Towbar As the genuine LR one is a Brink/Thule one and I am not sure that they do a flange type towbar just a Swan Neck and a Detachable |

Yes genuine LR, has plate on it. Made by Brink. Was fitted by dealer and I think it comes with a 25mm spacer as standard. I want to know whether I can add a cycle rack as well. When fitting a LR cycle rack do you have to use a spacer so that it fits passed the bumper? |

For just adding the cycle rack if it were me I would not lose any sleep over it, I can't belive the boys in blue would be to concerned to if yoy had added a 10mm extra of the cycle rack, or do you need the to have the tow ball fitted? Does the cycle rack mount on the towball like the Thule one if not and you don't need the ball you can use it without. |

I want to tow & carry cycles at the same time so need to have 25mm spacer + 10 mm cycle rack hence enquiry re what the maximum allowed is. |

Check out davecooper bike racks. I have one to carry my motorbike (although he does bicycle carrier attachments too) and they allow you to tow at the same time. |

The flange on my LR towbar tilts towards the front of the car and hence attachments do not clear the bumper. My dealer assures me that this is how it fits. Has anyone else got this LR towbar and is the flange tilted forward. Do you know if there is any provision for the adjustment of this angle? |

Had my new LR flange towbar off today. I have oversprayed the rear bar and electric socket fixing plates with more black paint, my old one was horribly rusty after 3 years!

Thanks for that. It seems odd that the flange is not vertical as the tow hitch will not sit on the tow ball symetrically.
