Does anyone have reliable information on when the MY11 Freelander2 models might hit Australia?

I have a 2007 model and the lease is up in September. My hope was to trade it in for a a 2011 when its released but I'm only vague dates at the moment - September or October.

If I have to hang on a month or two past the lease expiry date I'll need to come to some arrangement with the lease company which I'd rather not do.

I've been checking the likely specs based on what has been posted in the "general" section of the site - I really like the idea of a bigger diesel engine.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

But I drove through the Halewood factory during the week and the compounds were full of MY10 no sign of the 11's yet.

My understanding is they arrive for UK retail end of sept early oct.... FL2 HSE auto is about £1500 more than the my10. So would assume shortly after for Oz?

I went for the MY10 for sept 1 delivery...with the additional discount for "old model"....  Sept 1 2010 Now the PROUD owner of Galway Green Auto Diesel HSE

Just been talking to my dealer of choice and nov was quoted for my11 delivery. It must be a 6 week boat trip to Oz so very early 2011 would seem the earliest you'd get them.The engine is not bigger, the same 2.2 diesel but with slightly different states of tune....

I won't expect it to be reaching our shores until early 2011.

You will see the first batch in late Nov, my factory order alas won't arrive until Jan  11MY SE SD4 in Lago Grey just arrived with a free Garmin thrown in! This could be the start of a beautiful relationship (I'm an eternal optimist, and former FL1 owner)!
