Tailgate opening switch failed

Mine failed yesterday leaving me with only the remote fob to open the boot. Today I tried the locking and unlicking with the other remote and coincidentally found that if I squeezed the opening pad hard in the right place, the tailgate opens.
I rang Ripon LR who asked if I was around today and to bring it in (just avoid lunchtime). Switch in the handle changed in 30 minutes and all OK - I got a free cuppa and turned down a breakfast invitation. Good service.

Gutted - this is the first repair in 2 years and 41000 miles!
