possible that's it's just iron filings caught in the area but still needs checking out

Ooow. That's not good is it. Let us know what the outcome is?

Usual caveat on corrosion warranties, is whether it is from inside out or not. 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

I'll call in at the dealers when passing, I can't see any anywhere else, an due to the locality of them and the roof rails, it might be related to the fitting of them etc

has anybody else hopped up to have a look at their roof channels, if it just me or others seeing it too? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The black plastic strip that runs the length of the roof, there is a small channel on the outer edge and that's were
the rusty specs are towards the rear

Took the plastic strips off to fit the roof rails late last year - definately no signs of rust.
Then again mine was black until LR sprayed it orange, so there is an extra layer of paint. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Sounds like you have a real car - ie tow bar, non black and scuffed alloys etc. Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

After yesterdays service and the look at the rust spots

Farnells in Leeds feel it is fallout trapped in there and not the car

Time to get some more detailing products to get to it and have it gone Laughing

apparently the rusty wheel nuts are due to wet enviroment we live in and are not rusted enough to have them swapped on warranty Sad Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Is this non-specific fallout or some other sort????

Sounds like an excuse for years to come - not my fault it was that volcano in 1842 that did it.... Twisted Evil
