I've emailed ITV to ask them to admit to FIFA that they do not have the required level of competence to broadcast coverage of this level of importance. Their job is to broadcast material appealing to the lowest common denominator in this country to try keep them indoors rather that out contributing to our antisocial behaviour epidemic.

As a Scot you might think that my following comment is nothing more than envy as the Scots do not have a football team worthy of the Worldcup. However, I am not that interested in football and much prefer the Gents game of Rugger which I played for years. Anyway, my point is that having seen the so called highlights I think that the players in the England team are over paid, over rated and self opinionated. The USA who are considered second rate gave England a real challenge and deserved the draw. |
