my comments were related to Michelins on cars, can't comment on what they are like on motorcycles.

Of course they were Iain - I just thought that some folks may just be interested in the huge differences in quality (Michelin) tyre wear rates and economics between 2 and 4 wheels. Some people complain loudly about the cost of their car tyres -riding high performance motorbikes is even more expensive per tyre mile.

For those not interested in this I apologize for raising the comparison.

On March 2010 I purchased a set of Michelin Latitude Tour HP from Sam's Club. The price for all 4 were $900.10 out the door. The price included the road hazard & rotation/balancing (every 6,000 miles). My OEM Continentals served me well during the 41,000 miles. The car rode like it was new again. Now w/ 4,000 miles of wear they are still great & they have been doing well driving in the 2"-3" summer thunderstorms.
