I take your point but this for the family involved is one horrendous mess. There are twin brothers involved one murdered by the other. How would you feel about your cousins if your father had been murdered by your uncle. And then there is their mother.

Even if the story is sold I cannot see how this family can heal their differences in the glare of media attention.

Hi Si, i'd be ashamed of them........................ but I wouldn't want to make money from the misery and notoriety caused by my hypothetical family member.

It doesn't make it okay for this pond life if he has a decent family .... 'he' is still pond life, if his family sell the story then they are also pond life for cashing on off the backs of the relatives of the victims.

Define pond life! There are two sides to the family the victims i.e. David Bird's side and the prepetrator i.e. Derek Bird's family. I think so far both sides have behaved responsibly.

pond life ... scum bag ... defenition is what it is doesn't matter which adjective you use.. latest headlines, he told prostitute he planned this five tears ago. Dare say she too is cashing in on the misery = pond life.

I appreciate your concern for his immediate and extended family Si but I have my opinion just as you have yours and I am equally entitled to express it. I too have considered his family with the old saying ' you can choose your friends but not your family'.

The papers/max cliffords office will be bombarding anyone who knows anyone remotely involved to 'set the record straight' & 'tell their side of the story' and some will fall for it and be made to look like "pond Life" whether money changes hands or not & it will be the media that will be making all the money on the back of the misery with their sensationalist headlines attracting ghools to buy their publication.

Fully agree Junior............ what ever monies are paid to the story tellers is insignificant compared to the money earned by media and agents sifting out these people.
