I share your thoughts and commiserations Nick. If the guns weren't out there they couldn't do it though! Ralph

problem is a ban on guns will not get rid of guns as anybody who wants one, for illegal reasons will get one for a few quid anyway Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Agree totally. Handguns were banned in the UK in 1997, the British Olympic team cannot train in the UK. People shot dead peaked in 2001, 97, with 39 in 2008/2009. "There are 1.3 million Licensed Shotgun holders in the UK. 22,476 in Cumbria." (Guardian. 3/06/2010) What has happened in Cumbria defies belief. The impact on the communities will take years to heal. The impact on the families that have been ripped apart, will never heal. My thoughts are with those families. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again... |

Drugs are also banned but still kill people every day-maybe if there were no cars people wouldn't die on our roads too. |

maybe if we had the right to carry side arms, this would have ended sooner and with less deceased Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

What is it the American constitution says... You have the right to bear arms, or is it right to arm bears, I can never quite remember which.... If they were to allow the carrying of arms, I would leave the country. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again... |

I am a licenced gun user. It saddens me to think about what has happened and my thought goes out to all those involved.

My heart felt condoleneces to all those affected by the shootings.
I my eyes the biggest killer is people, it doesn't matter about their weapon of choice, a knife in the kitchen is a tool, in the street a weapon. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner |

Don't think it matters whether he had a gun or not, he flipped and would have done exactly the same with a knife or iron bar.......... hope he rots in hell.
