High pitched noise..

Hi guys!

Just wanted to hear from other FL2 owners to see if this is normal...

My FL2 is just one week old and as I've not owned one before and I'm still getting used to it and finding things out about it I thought I'd ask the question:

What I have noticed is that when you switch it off there is a high pitched noise that comes from behind the front grill that lasts for a while..! Is this normal? The dealer told me on the phone that its the electrics shutting down and the car is going into sleep mode..

Also when I lock up the car at night I notice that the radio lights stay on dim for quite a while too - Any thoughts on this would be appreaciated.. telfire

If you put the key in the ignition and push the start button with out your foot on the clutch "manual" Atomatic foot on the brake pedal, you will hear a series of sounds and clicks, this is normal. Mainly relays switching on etc, its the same when locking up as the car does self checks and shuts down the operating system, arms the alarm and put the system into sleep mode, all normal.

The buzzing sound is from the Electric Throttle module. It is found in the front on the engine.
The one in the picture below, seen after the front of the car is removed.

You can slightly touch its case from the right side (as viewing from the front of the car) when it's buzzing and you'll see that the pitch of the sound is changing.
The training manual clearly states it:
NOTE: A buzzing noise will be heard from the throttle motor when keying off the engine. This is due to throttle flap resetting to open position.

Sorry to drag up an old thread. I have searched around.

I have always had the buzzing noise it almost sounds like a small electric motor locking up. This normally goes for a bit and then clicks and noise stops. But lately I have noticed that if I have the accessories on (pressing the start button without my foor on the brake) the noise does not stop. Has anyone else noticed this
