Wet Bank holiday weekend

Sitting here in a 14ft long white box in North Wales. No TV reception, waiting for the mother-in-law to visit.
Looking outside it's pouring with rain, there's a stream running through the awning, and at 11am it's too early to start drinking warm larger - tiny fridge full of meat for the BBQ Smile

The birds with hobnail boots on were tap dancing on the van roof at some un-godly hour.

Looks like we are all going to have to visit some garden centres to keep the wimmin occupied.

Why do people go on foreign holidays, where the sun always shines and it's too far away for the in-laws to visit? Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Just arrived back with the van from a three nights in the Cotswolds, rained a bit around Saturday lunchtime other than that pretty good weather.

Came across another forum member who is often on here strutting his stuff but no Freel2 sticker.
Nick time to do a sales push on the Freel2 Stickers again Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Just come back from a weekend in the Forest of Dean, a bit of rain on Saturday but apart from that ok. We've given up on going to North Wales as it always seemed to rain when we went in the caravan!

Up dat eon the weekend
Mother in law went home Saturday and the rain stopped.
We found out at this point that the 5 closest vans were all from the same family/street and had decided that if all the kids played together than all the adults could get drunk.
Sunday morning rudely awakened by kids bouncing football off Van windows - their foul mothed drunken parents had been shouting for them to go to sleep at 2am.
The kids got up at 5am and decided to find out who had a hangover buy bouncing balls off the vans.

At this point we find there is no play area, and as ours was the smallest van we had the largest amount of free space in front.
Good news is as the rain had stopped we BBQed for breakfast, lunch and supper, a few drinks later and the kids didn't seem too bad.

Alls well that ends well - just an adults only site next time. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

You need to throw a few bits of bread and other titbits of food on the roofs of the vans that have the drunken parents in, let the crows and the seagulls tap dance on the roofs that gets them up and they can see what their own brood is up to if they care. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
