Old car was badly worn at 13.5K miles. So i purposly sat one dayextending it and retracting it in quick succession to see if any affect and you could see it wearing down, scubbing up little bits of warn plastic like burrs. Thats also probably why the B pillar was going grey.

How come 50% of people say they haven't had any problems with their FL2 when we all have the b-pillars wear out from seatbelt problem?

I can't find any problems with my b-pillar. Again, it's mid-april production, so something might be fixed. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Quercus,

Last I was told by the dealer (two weeks ago) there was no 'fix' for the B post wear problem. All they can do is replace the trim with a new one to help maintain the appearance of the vehicle.

avtur,
i had a closer look at the b-pillar and indeed there is some initial wear. not an earth shattering problem, but pretty embarrassing for LR engineers. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Had a problem with the audio which was solved with a software update, and poor gear selection which was cured with new gearbox oil and lubrication to cable linkage.
Otherwise just great.

Problems, what problems. 1, which I did consider major but am now trying to categorise as Emilys character ie Mars & Venus, that b####y brick of a key (bong bong bong) and failed starts. Now I realise its her mood swings and she has not let me down on 2nd try but if she does I know it only takes 15 mins for her hormones to settle down before she starts.
The 2nd and 3rd problems which are major are the fact that I cannot find the switch for the tailgate drop glass and the Rr Roof does not take off.
All the above evaporates when driving, Emily goes like a ferret up a pipe compared with Freda still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Nazca Sand

FL2 GS delivered 16 October. Only problem has been parking sensors packing up after 2 weeks and dealer not being able to source paint (Nazca Sand) from Land Rover. Otherwise love it to bits.

No "problems", but some annoyances:

- fuel economy for td4 auto is averaging 22mpg...not happy
- key fob pops back out when inserting into ignition regularly (weight of attached keys probably reason, but never a problem on bmw with similar system)
- steering should be more weighted at speed, can be a little twitchy, although at low speed makes the car very agile
- bluetooth phone compatibility is poor
- boot is small compared to x-trail, but sufficient for my needs. Internal storage overall is very good imo

Can't think of anything else.

1 parking sensor had to be replaced and yes: it's a black one so the'll have to do the job twice.
Apart from that: no problems.
