Ford steals LR "Terrain Response" system for its o

Starting with the 2012 Explorer SUV Ford will begin to equip it's vehicles with a version of Land Rover's Terrain Response system. Even the icons on the dial are the same.

Ford unveils Terrain Tech * Fixed link!

Guess the sale of LR to TATA left Ford with rights to most of Land Rover's Patents.

no different to the same way that JLR use Ford patented items still, such as, erm... er....

When BMW sold Rover, BMW kept the rights to hydragas suspension (amongst other things) and many of the patents that Rover held, consequently MG Rover had to pay licensing fees to continue using items that THEY developed originally!
