The deposit doesn't secure a slot, it just goes to the Dealer until such time as thay can get an order in. I don't think you'll get one any quicker.

I'm signing up for one as soon as a 5 door is confirmed. 3 doors just isn't enough. I hope you can opt out of the hybrid version. I want mine to be purely fossil fuelled! 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto
