United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
Visor Mounted Bluetooth device.

A few years ago I purchased a visor mounted bluetooth device for my mobile phone.

It was a fairly basic unit but did the job in several cars but it's finally given up the ghost and is in need of replacement.

Can anybody recommend one of the latest non fitted units for my Freelander 2 ? I understand, that in addition to the internal speaker, that some are now fitted with FM transmitters so that the sound comes over the audio system in the car, if required.

I don't want a fitted unit as I want to use it in more than one vehicle.

Would be grateful for any advice.

Many thanks

Bill

Do you need a sat nav as well? There are sat nav units out there that have built in handsfree and the ability to transmit over FM to the radio.

Cannot recommend a Parrot Kit highly enough.

I have them fitted when ever i get a new company car. Takes about an hour and a half to fit and the ck3100 is usually about £175.00 fully fitted Gone S383 ABA Freelander 2.0 XEDI Rioja Red

I use a Visor Lite Bluetooth hands free kit, which I can move from car to car. Never let me down.

Just Google and you'll get lots to choose from.

Parrot Minikit Slim. Best portable handsfree I have ever used. Costs about £ 70.00 but worth every penny.

Sync it with your phone and it downloads your phonebook. To call a contact, you press the button, say "Call" and the persons full name as it appears in the phonebook, then work, mobile, home. It will then verify the information back to you, and dials the number.

I used it with my iPhone for ages. To be honest I have been tempted to put it in the Freely instead of using the system in the car as trying to find the numbers is dangerous. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...
