The X1 is a Micky Mouse SUV-look-a-like, popular with women and 4x4 wannabe owner’s.
Maybe the X3 replacement will be more competition for LR.

Regardless of all LR appraisal (me included) on this forum LR do not match up to BMW build quality and choice of cosmetic materials. LR on the other hand, win on terrain driving qualities, something that most LR owners never experience. It would seem that LR is popular in the UK due to the British brand name, but in Europe BMW dominate and I guess always will unless you have terrain driving requirements for your vehicle. I owned a 1 series when they first came out. It was great. Yes it was more expensive than a Golf, but it was an incredible grin... There is a 135i mentioned in that piece. I will have one of those one day. It is just an awesome car for the money....

I was interested to see where the X1 would go to be honest, and I think that Clarksons review is so far off the mark it isn't true.

He hasn't mentioned the fact that they are dangerous, lethally so. If you see one driving down the towards you it is almost impossible to not crash. If the hysterics don't get you, the tears or stomach cramps will. Your are bound to hit incoming traffic.

have had 8 BMWs including x3 and x5 great cars
tested the x1 was way too small for my needs and was a complete waste of money for the entry level here in nz 2 wheel drive was same as FL2 with all the leather etc no brainer really so ordered and FL2 and cant wait to pick up on monday!!!!
