If you going towbar , why not consider one of the towbar mounted boxes, most tilt and allow access to boot

Thanks npinks, that could definitely be an option. Didn't know they existed! |

They attach to a tow bar mounted bike rack so cost could be a little higher than a trailer

Being restricted to lane 1 & 2 with HGV's taking miles to overtake each other is a real last resort. I thought the same and bought an Erde/Daxara trailer with ABS top and bike rack, but at the end of the summer it was sold. It is just too restrictive IMO.

No but he should not be going over 60 with a trailer on. I have a twin axle caravan which I know the FL2 will eat particularly as an auto but use the cruise control so not to. I towed my parents caravan many years ago with my Range Rover CSK and when I looked at my speedo I was up at 90 I just did not feel the caravan at all especialy with a 3.9 petrol engine and an autobox. Whatever you tow the legal limit is 60MPH |

60 mph is the maximum on a dual carriageway or motorway. Otherwise the maximum is 50 mph. |

That's true the limit should restrict vehicles. or the fact I haven't actually got a full trailer license should stop me towing larger trailers... Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
