My Dad has just bought an FL2 and as with my D3 I was looking through the manual on the LR owners site and it shows the tourist lever to change from RHD to LHD and back again on the Xenon lights.
He will be travelling back and forth from France to England so this would be cheaper to do and easier than just buying LHD ligghts and swapping them.

Gettign hold of the lights doesn't seem to be an issue but I need to make sure that it is possible before I commit to buying them otherwise they will be a waste of time. Please can one of you help by conforming this is possible and also confirming if it is possible to do this by updating the CCF file to tell the car it has Xenon rather than Halogen?

Happy to do the wiring that uDosh has very helpfully descibed in another post but would rather do without having the wire from the battry +ve terminal.

Somebody might correct me but only the HSE has the lever to change from RHD to LHD. ______________________

Thanks but I think it's only Xenon equipped cars that have the tourist lever.

can anyone else help with the other questions regarding the lights and if they have any experience of getting them working?

You can replace halagon with Original bi-xenon and I have done it like this,

Only xenon headlights have the tourist lever and it works really well, involves removing the headlight but can be done within minutes. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

Now for another one that has come up - Do the LHD Xenon headlamps also have the tourist lever? LR are saying that if the car is spending most of its life in LHD then the LHD lights should be bought, but the parts guy I spoke to didn't know if LHD also had the tourist lever.

Seems strange that they make two part numbers if this lever is present?

Both the LHD and RHD xenons have the tourist lever, but the tourist lever don't make the RHD a real LHD, (or vice versa), it just prevents oncoming drivers getting blinded. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto
