I have been round LRs track at Gaydon in a SCRRS at just under 140mph and round the high intensity track at silly speeds, no squeaks or rattles were evident!! D4 HSE Lux for me

You were pulling too many G's and the loose bits were held in place by the force of nature, slow it down a bit |

There were rumours of a black badged one, but it seems either LR are keeping it up their sleeves or it was BS D4 HSE Lux for me

I was going through all your replies and I tend to conclude that D3 TDV6 and FL2 TD4 have about the same consumption (about 32mpg). Is that correct? Is it also true that the D3 is slow? I read the same 0-60 figures for both of them. The one I test drove was tuned and it drove like hell and the handling was so perfect. It cornered like a train! As far as the interior is concerned I've seen some bad photos of the 2008 D3 and I believe it's gonna look great (anyone know where I could see some proper pictures of the new model on the net?).

You are on your own with this one fella...we can share our thoughts, opinions, preferences, but its down to you at the end of the day.......at least you are staying with Land Rover, so one resulting answer is good so far, as for which........ Good Luck |

Averaging 31.6mpg in TD4 auto after 600 miles, that includes my lowest avearge of 8.5mpg after clearing the computer memory and booting it down the nearby dual carriageway from stand still, only got the manual down to I think it was 10 or 12mpg doing that, but certainly never single figures |

you got lead boots on or what ..... just completed a 350 mile round trip Manchester- Hemel Hempstead and return; arrived home with the computer showing 43.6mpg. All my fwiends tell me I'm 'very light on my feet' so it must be true ....... |

Because I am a really sad bastard (I'm saying that before anyone else!!) I can tell you that my car has averaged 37.04 mpg over 16,840 miles. That is calculated by miles driven against fuel put it, not the on board computer. I think that is pretty good, I'm well pleased with that...... |
