I am planning on changing the stereo as soon as I find a FL2. I will be putting in the double din Kenwood headunit I currently have with ipod connection and built in bluetooth.

I had heard that changing the stereo to an aftermarket unit would be at the expense of the Reverse sensor warning bleeps? |

to be honest if you change the speakers without changing the headunit you will be gaining very little. The upgraded speakers are built to be driven by higher powers and using the standard headunit may make them sound awful. To be honest I would change the headunit first as this usually breathes a little life into standard speakers.

Smart little thing though. Back in the day we use to fill our boots with subs and amps then store all our belongings in the passenger footwells. 2008 Td4 Freelander2 GS - santorini black.

On reading this topic I wonder if it is possible on the HSE to replace the double-din facia for an aftermarket system? Nothing wrong IMO with the factory Alpine unit but I would like a full screen unit that could accomodate DVD etc but would want to remain with Alpine. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I've installed a kenwood and a pioneer subwoofer and have my parking sensors still working. There is an adapter available by kenwood. don't know if other brands also have them yet.
