Start of the Visits

Thought with the begining of the caravan season I will get a couple of issues I have got with the FL2 looked at, as i don't what to breakdown at the side of the road 2 times like i did with my last one.

Drivers Seat, slight movement when braking/accelerating
Dip in rev's when approaching junctions
    Low MPG
    Loss of Coolant
Occassional Slight Sluggishness when Accelerating up hills, unless booted

Spoke to my 'local' Dealer, have to wait till 20th April, for a loan car, but thats only 10 days from when i am back local so not too bad.

I have said that the signs are EGR with the last 3 on the list, (from whats been said on here), but I guess it will be what ever the computer says. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Snap on the movement on the seats.
I've got a non working front power socket cigar lighter thing
A rattle that seems to be coming from the seat belt restraint thing. AARRRGH! That is intermittent and really, really annoying!
They owe me a key 'cos I only got one when I bought the car
And a new set of Satnav maps.

Waiting for the key and maps to come in and will book the car in. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Few niggles more than serious stuff, apart from the unsolved overheat, they blamed mud on radiator but changed EGR valve and cleaned radiator too even though mud had been there 18 months, no overheat after that, but it never did overheat just had temp gauge jump about and be back at normal within 10 secs. So looked more like a sensor to me

G'day NP, Seat movement/noise is covered on Technical Service Bulletin LTB00176v2 issued 18/12/2008 and involves a warranty replacement of front seat track. Can't help with the others I'm afraid.

2009/2010 SatNav discs collected from dealer yesterday Very Happy
The tell me that there is a shortage of replacement keys Sad

Had discussion about the fact that once linked to a car that is it and they can't be reprogrammed to another Shocked

(thinks. Must go to Marshalls Bedford and go through their box of keys that they don't know what they are for. I bet there is one that opens my car...) Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Key programme is straightforward, if you have 2 keys you can add extra, if you only have ONE key and need a second you have to reprogramme CAR and both keys. Reason is that original missing key will no longer start car.
On computer when programming you are asked "are both keys present" the answer to this if adding a new key when you only have 1 original is NO. The system then knows to delete memory and programme car and 2 keys.
Some technicians make the mistake of answering YES because they have 2 keys in hand. Confused computers then take over!!! All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
