iPhone integration

Has anyone else discovered that it is not possible to accept a phone using the green phone paddle lever on the right of the steering wheel.
Both my 3GS and my wife's 3G can only accept a call by hitting the 'Enter' button (right hand knob) on radio. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Mine works fine too

also when radio in phone mode, pulling the green phone button will put the iPhone into voice control and I can select what music I want to play or who I want to call

obviously voice control doesnt understand Yorkshire all the time Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

yep, voice control for those that the iPhone can understand

Press Phone button on radio, then press and hold the green phone button on the steering wheel, will activate the iPhones voice control function (just like you have pressed the button on the front of the phone)

say what you want to the phone "call Office" "Play Artist *****" and so on Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

as far as i can see it does work via bluetooth, when phone mode is selected, nothing happens in radio mode (apart from switch the DAB radio display info)

mine is plugged in via a kensington ipod lead but thats, just one that charges it and audio via AUX lead

My experiance of voice control is that it doesn't always work though, so don't get too high a expectation

For example i could say, "Play Playlist Snowboarding" and it comes back "CALLING LOOKERS PARK ROYAL" Shocked it doesn't sound anything similar

but with the iPhone you don't preprogram or record the voices it has software that does that automatically

99% of the time i just select stuff via the touch screen and thats safer than trying to cancell a unwanted call when you wanted music before the phone starts ringing,

then they person calls you back, with the "you just called what did you want" and you answer back "my snowboarding playlist music but it phoned you instead and sorry i know its 6am in the morning but I didn't mean to call you its this stupid iPhone" Embarassed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hang on, I know that one shouldn't be picky. How often do you go Snowboarding to credit the afore mentioned playlist. Laughing Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

I had the same problem with my Iphone 3gs I did a hard reset on the phone. hold the bottom button and the top button together until the apple logo comes up. I then deleted the phone from the car and did a fresh pairing and it solved the problem.
