Sleeping in the back

Hi guys

So, brand new Freelander 2, and with the seats down, there's enough room for me to lie down in the back and sleep when I'm out in the wilds with my job. A question then:

Do any of you sleep in the back, and does anyone have recommendations for a sleeping mat that will fit and make the whole thing a little more comfortable?

I've looked at Therm-A-Rest, but they seem to be 20cm to long for it really.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I once slept in the back Very Happy

Very drunk, locked the car with fob, deadlocked, dropped keys below drivers seat down back of folder seat, 2am in morning angry people on campsite couldn't open doors trapped inside my car only just able to co-ordinate myself to fold seats down to get keys

I'm the only person I know that can lock themselves inside their car Embarassed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

One problem is the humidity. When you have wind deflectors open all windows a bit. For more space unscrew the seating surfaces in the back and put it in the footwell. HSE TD4, Auto, alpaca, matt black&carbon fibre wrapping, 235/65 R17 Conti CrossContact AT, 60mm H&R wheel spacers, Matzker sump guard, self-build side protection tubes, tinted headlamps, smoked side repeaters, auxiliary head lamps, caliper unit matt black powder-coated, colour coated front grille (without LR badge), side vents, light housing, Kuda iPhone console, car cigar jack in boot, „Black Rope“ dash trim kit, …

2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver

I have a tent that I bought for a lr90 I had a few years ago inthink it's called a Caradon it folds up from the ground like an old fashioned pram hood and fastens to the rear doors so you can open the tailgate inside the tent it's big enough for a double air bed and cooking bits and bobs. Havn' tried it on thefl2 yet though

When I am out in the bush and it's raining I sleep in the back. I have a 3/4 length self inflating camping mat that works fine and fits the car well. I'm amazed at the difference a 1 inch thick air mat makes.
