A part from keeping the warranty up and you intend to keep your car for more than 3 years what's the point on a service history from when the warranty ends. I was just thinking if your paying out for a service say £250 to £350 a time or £400+ in some cases, would it be better to DIY or oil & filter changed at your local garage, cus to me that's all a service is nowadays or do you loose £1000s when you trade it in I'm not sure on this one.
Can someone put me right on this cus I hate to spend £100s when i don't have too. When I been to dealers in the past they never say we knocking price down cus its only got part history or we give you more cus its got full history, they just ask what it is what year and mileage then look in their little book give rock bottom price and if its got a couple marks on it they knock more £s off.

Never had any of my Freelanders from new serviced at at a Dealer or in fact any car I've owned, I just filled in the service book myself with all the deails. I still got the price I wanted when I traded in.
