Hi everyone,

I'm trying to work out whether I will be able to use my new Freelander 2 for a trip in the coming weeks and wondered if anyone has any ideas to help me work out when I can expect to receive it. The dealership is of course completely useless and can't give me a firm answer.

The build date was yesteday (22nd of March).

Anyone know how long it tends to take from the build date until delivery?

Mine was built as in competed on the 22nd October 2009 & I collected it from the dealer on 28th November but could probably had it a few days earlier. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

This is all a little worrying... He keeps talking about me picking it up at the beginning of next week. This seems a little unlikely then, given the length of time it took for you.

Mine was (allegedly!) built today and will be delivered to dealer this Fri or Monday at the latest, I can collect once the cherished transfer goes through which should be 1st April.................. but this is all fools day!  2010 FL2 XS Auto in Santorini Black with HSE alloys

My new demo was due to be built on 4th April and it has already arrived!

It is usually 7-10 days from when it is issued a chassis number to when it arrives at the dealer (mainland UK). Ask them to call you when it has a chassis number.

mine was built on 8th march i collected on 18th march hope yours comes through ok

Ok, well it seems that I've been lucky. The build date was the 22nd, it was delivered yesterday afternoon and I get to pick it up this afternoon. Not bad - build date to delivery in six days.

Local dealer tells me that they build 50 an hour so that sounds slow!!!!
