I seem to get the low coolant message whenever the vehicle is parked on a slope (which is most of the time where I live). Is this a common issue? |

Dont know about youz, but a while back I got a service notice to bring in my LR2 to have a modification done to a possible coolant line leak. |

Obviously it's a pressurised system but is there an overflow? if you park on a steep slope maybe that's where the coolant has gone? |

Did you resolve your coolant problem in 2009?! I have topped up four times in four months in less than a thousand miles. Can't find a leak anywhere.

That sounds like a possible head gasket or cracked head. Either pressurising through the expansion tank or blowing through the exhaust. Check for white smoke in exhaust when engine hot, and get the system pressure-checked. Doesn't seem to be a common problem from what I've read on here though. It's a known problem on the TD5. First thing I'd do though is change the expansion tank cap, in case the spring is weak. |

I get the steering column lock msg once in a while for no reason. Happens after startup but doesn't affect steering at all. The msg goes away after a few mins. Need to get it checked out at my second service, but not sure if they'll find the problem since it's intermittant. Anyone know the real problem? |
