No response from throttle

I have an intermittent fault with my diesel automatic. There is sometimes no power at all after engaging drive. It does not matter how hard I press the accelerator pedal, there is absolutely no response. With only 10 days to go before the warranty expires, I am extremely concerned. Needless to say, the dealer has failed to find the problem and Land Rover customer services have not been able to suggest what can be done either. Has any body else had a similar problem?

That doesn't suprise me to hear that the dealer can't find a fault, probably because you have 10 days left on the warranty, after that they'll find the fault and charge you for fixing it Evil or Very Mad

Personally I would take the car back to them and say you won't accept it back until it has been fixed (assuming you can do without it for a while) ______________________

I get this after I have started the engine. Have had it from new. It seems that once the computer is warmed up the problem disappears. Now I wait a few seconds before I engade drive.

Are we talking within a second or so or are talking more than that? Because it needs time to engage cogs and gears through a computer! When it's warm it's quicker because the oils are up to temperature, therefore thinner and things move easier Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

It usually takes 20-30 seconds for the throttle to respond. The drive is engaged immediately. It makes no difference whether the engine/transmission oil is hot or cold. It is a random event!

Ahh I see. From what I understand because you have contacted LR with the problem, make sure they have the issue on record, and then, from what I understand,it is covered under warranty...although I'm not a dealer so don't take my word for it! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I wonder if it is the same stupid crap idea LR have apparently done on the manual with this rubbish sensor thing that reduces throttle for idiots who can't change gear without juddering a car whilst changing gears by reducing revs & if you change gear normally the thing pulls back. I have faulted this twice to the dealers before someone on here mentioned the above, the dealers said who said - nothing wrong. All I know it makes driving a manual FL2 about as exciting as watching paint dry!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I have the same problem. The last time it happened was... yesterday !
It only happens immediately after starting the engine and when it happens, the red battery warning light on the dasboard appears. After 5 or 10 sec. the light goes out and everything is normal.

I've had this happen on several occasions since new as well. It seems to happen if you put it into gear to quickly.
