New detachable tow bar query

Hi All,
New member to the forum although I have popped in once or twice in the past for a look. Just wondering if anyone can help with this query.
I changed my Freelander in January of this year, bought another new from local dealer. I had them fit a detachable towbar which has been undetached till yesterday when I decided I better have a look and see how it works. I had a look on the Brinks website for details & instructions which seems to indicate I should have a small cover which goes over/into the housing for the towbar when it has been removed. I'm assuming this will be to stop dirt, spray and the like getting into the housing. I don't have this. Can anyone confirm whether they received one with their dealer fitted detachable towbar. The towbar is labelled "land rover" but I believe it is a Brinks advanced model.

Thanks in advance

Robert

Hi Artel,Yes you should have one supplied with your tow Bar.
Its a Strange looking Black piece of plastic which push fits into the hole once you have removed the towball.
I would get back to them and tell them its missing and that you would like them to order you one free of charge.
I take it you do have the little blue bag to put the towball in when not in use? Thumbs Up

Thanks for the prompt responses. That looks the same as the diagram sketch on the Brinks download. I certainly don't have one of them nor a bag to put the towbar in. Phone call to the dealer on Monday I think.
Many thanks for the help

Have you looked under the boot floor in the spare wheel well?

Talking about missing bits, so far, (after one month), I've got a missing 2nd key fob, missing locking wheelnut socket, and just found, missing drivers door rubber bump stop. (Lower right corner, not fitted to newer models).

Stealer is being very co-operative however, so should have them, back-end of next week. Thumbs Up

(edited for crop spoolinge!!) We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!
