Went outside first thing this morning to find two wheels held on by the locking nuts only. They are the hse style alloys so nothing overly exciting either. Only good thing was they left the other 4 normal wheel nuts beside them rather than giving them some right arm action so I just put them back in and tightened them up.
Il be sitting in there tonight with my shot gun waiting for them.
Anyway, for those that havent got locking nuts it may be an idea to get them as you really cant have anything these days.

Grrr this makes me angry but glad all is well On-board, on the subject of shotgun may I suggest that you don't point it at their heads as a quick death would never do - Maybe a middle shot just below the belt would make sure that any 'loose parts' are totally removed from the body - this would ensure that they cannot produce further scum

Better to have rusty ones that not at all

Oh, come to think of it, as they were Real HSE alloys, I wonder if it was anybody we know was after them  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

I dunno andy, I cant think of any that would want a REAL set of hse alloys.

Thankyou for ur sympathy lypsyl however I give as much as I recieve.

Does anybody know how easy it is to undo the locking nuts without the key ? On close inspection the only way I can see to do it is weld a nut on the head.

Il look into some lighting, trouble is they can then see what there nicking !

I have the same dilemma On-board - since the the arrival of the new super duper low energy street lights now fitted in our street you can't see chuff all, so do you leave a night light on which makes it easy for the 'inbreads' to find your nuts or do you keep it in the dark - I don't know which is the best option
As aluminium is a good conductor of electricity do you have a mains socket close to hand and 4 lengths of twin and earth to each wheel
