You should be able to delete the whole post as long as you do it before somebody posts after you... Oh, Censored . Wink

I hope people who've not experienced any problems will also post on this thread, otherwise it may give the potential buyer some very bad impressions - forums are bad enough for this already!

So let's have the good as well as the bad!

Mine was registered at the end of March 07, so probably built about a week/10 days before that.

Only minor problems so far, nearly 5000 miles on the clock.

non-start/trip reset - only 3 times
handbrake not holding car on an incline (this was fixed by the dealer, but still isn't great)
creaking noise (I'm still investigating where this is coming from before it goes in to be looked at)

as I said, only minor issues.

Smile

this could explain the slew of glitches. first production batch is always a bit wobbly, whatever the make. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

My car was built mid December, so I'm in the 'some minor glitches' category.

Now don't get me wrong, These sort of glitches are things that I can live with, yes some start to annoy me, BUT

I would not want to swap the car for any other make or model, The car is perfect for what i need, drives like a car not a 4X4, and tows the caravan like its not there. (as long as i don't use 6th Gear)

As per the latest review saying the boot is a lttile small, once I have the kids pram and everyday bag in there is not loads of room left, but you have to realise that you can stack things up to the roof lining and lay seats down to gain more room for that once in a year fully ladened trip.

But for everyday use with or without the baby stuff, the boot is fine.

The car is fine, forget the small glitches that all cars have, and purchase one you'll not regret it.

Don't let my negitive Glitch list sway your thoughts on the car

I don't want to tempt fate, but I am ALMOST in the no problems category. Mine was registered 11/1/07 so was probably a Dec/early Jan build.
To date touch wood, only problem has been the software upgrade needed for the trip reset etc.
Apert from a puncture that wrote off a tyre, that is, but that could happen to anyone.
Barely done 7k mind, so relatively low mileage.
Happy freelanding everyone!

Here's my problem list:

Trip computer resets Big Cry
radio freeze Big Cry
small hair/cloth in windscreen heating wiring (just in front of driver's eyes) Big Cry
suspension knock Censored
front suspension creaks when braking Big Cry
streering box(?) knocking lightly when reversing Censored
rattles inside (door trim and back) Big Cry Censored Whistle
b-pillars wear out from seatbelt Big Cry
little plastic under sat-nav turning white when under the sun(!!) Big Cry

I try to look at these as minor glitches, and I will know for sure tomorrow (oil change service). So I will vote tomorrow... For the time being and IMHO Censored stands for big problem and Big Cry for minor glitch.
