I have been looking at the walnut 'veneer' fascia kits for my FL2 SE and think it will look very good with the alpaca leather upholstery. A company called The Walnut Dash Company are listing them on eBay for approx. £50 and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of fitting them, their quality and longevity? Never quite seen the logic in putting thin strips of 'wood' in a perfectly good interior??? |

Yes, I got mine on eBay from a LR dealer for £100. Other makes seem to go a bit OTT with too many pieces and not quite the right shades of wood. |

Despite various earlier comments we have ordered the pukka LR part from 4X4partsdirect for £80 free delivery and I am sure with the alpaca leather it will look superb. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet? |

My HGV is fitted with the wood look plastic, don't ask me why cos its a working truck, however when you fit it make sure the surface is clean, clean, clean oh and clean cos the stuff in this truck keeps lifting off. 2009 FL2 GS

I have wood trim in my HSE, but silver trim around the gear knob/traction knob (think it was factory standard). Is the full kit the same colour or did a blind man fit the trim on mine at the factory?? |

Be careful as there is a full kit (which is expensive) and then the finisher beam (2 parts) which is the factory item and a lit cheaper.

I'm not totally sure, but I think that HSE wood is slightly different to the accessory kit i.e in colour and texture, probably not as shiny either and the HSE might not have the gear lever surround bit; what I'm trying to say is that the kit is not the same as the factory fitted wood. |
