Don't panic - on the 2007/8 and 9 models the lower door panels plus front and back valence are grey/black plastic....on the late 2009/2010 models the're body colour coded. |

It says in my 09 handbook that I should rotate the usage of they keys, I don't know why maybe its to make them last longer and then two keys give up in the same week. 2009 FL2 GS

What happened to your failed keyfob. I'm still looking for donated duds to dissect in order to learn how serviceable they are. |

Yes I looked into that but the panels now are quite flexy and even though painting on plastic is good nowadays as it does flex well I was warned against it. 4 door + bit in front of the front doors for £170 inc vat from LR pre primed |

As LR paid towards it they had it back.
I wouldn't it will come off after a period of time, both the LR bodyshops I know refused to piant the original's as they know what will happenand I'll be coming back again. If your doing the just the door panels, for the sake of £170 get new primered panels that are designed for painting. By me buying these, the painting is actually cheaper than prepearing the originals.
They are only clipped in place. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

When the key is inserted into the slot, it recharges the batteries in them. So you should rotate the keys once in a while to keep the from going dead. Interestingly, RRS key's do not recharge, they are however keyless entry and start. |
