Driving home 2nite. Swmbo piped up what time do they turn the cats eyes on the mway? Bit lip and replied feel sorry 4 the bloke who changes the bulbs. Btw she has a degree. Any female faux pas u care to share? Live your life be free-lander

There are plenty of roads with solar powered, self-illuminated cats eyes.

They're very bright - certainly bright enough to suspect the wife might be extracting the michael. (Not that I know your wife - I only know that mine will frequently make a remark like that to see if I fall for it. Mind you it took me a long while to realise that the word "gullible" doesn't appear in any English dictionary.)

An ex of mine (BA, MA, working on PHD) once decided to 'top up' her oil in her 1.2l Nova. Bought a 5l can and tipped the whole lot in and drove to work. How it never blew a seal I will never know.

Then she got a flat and went down to kwik fit and asked for a tyre WITHOUT TAKING THE CAR. The guy asked her if she intended putting the tyre on herself using spoons Rolling with laughter
