Very wise move, given the problems some of us have had with slipping clutches after only 20K miles. What alerted your dealer to a weeping crank oil seal in the first place? Have you had any of the characteristic slipping by 300rpm at 2000rpm when eccelerating in 5th / 6th? 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone

Interesting - an oil seal failing at 30k and inside warranty. I've done 38k miles, the warranty expired in August and my seal's just failed (the crank / gearbox interface oil seal). However, it's £500 invoice to fix it. Ouch.
