Blackberry 8100 Bluetooth

Hi,

I am new to Landrover and this forum, so be gentle.

I have a Blackberry 8100 that I am trying to pair with the FL2 bluetooth. According to LR, it is not recomemmended, but that is about it.

The search seems to work EXCEPT that my phone asks for a bluetooth passkey for "my car", but I have no idea what it might be.

Hi

I have the same phone, and have had no luck getting it to work. I have tried every combination of settings, and I've updated to a few different firmwares, with no success.

I have also tried all the different blackberries at my work, 7100, 7170(I think), 8100 and 8300, and none of them work.

I'm just about to get our phone suplier to come out with a range of symbian and windows devices, so I can pick one the works, that I like.

I know the Nokia E50 and Vodafone V1240 work so far, but would like a bigger keyboard.

Rich

FL2 randomly generates the passkey for your phone

yup as npinks have said LR2's PTI generates passkey each time you pair a new phone...this will appear on your LR2's mini stereo screen when a connection/pairing is successful

about the blackberry phones, I haven't tried pairing one so I guess this is a right time for me to find one and try pairing it

my HTC-Wizard MDA is not recommended too but I was able to pair it. My friend's Atom O2 wasn't in the list either but paired well...but my luck on WM6 devices like what nightfox's have is still in vain Sad ...SCARLETT!?! Big Cry Do Not Follow Me...You Can't Go Where I Go!!!

Yipee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I've done it, I've got my blackberry working

How happy am I. Just as my work told me I had to have a Parrott kit installed, and ruin my lovely dash

Article is http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?c...2023092988

http://www.blackberry.com/go/bluetoothpairing is the download for the blackberry (won't help with other devices, as it's software for the phone)

Followed the instructions, and it works.

I presume enough large companies complained to RIM, and they sorted it.

I can't expalin how glad I am that I'm not having someone dismantle my dashboard.

Rich

Even if Scarlett looks more like an old Bette Davies by the time we get it working?

All I remember doing was to update to the latest software (download the PC sync software, and it's built in now), then pairing it, don't remember doing anything special, although I will have a look at it, and see if changed any settings, and let you know
