DVD player under drivers seat

I know it's a stupid question but I have a DVD player under the drivers seat, is this for the sat nav or something else?, I cant find any reference to it in the owners manual.

Satnav, nothing else unfortunately and yes, I tried it with a normal DVD, having a thick day when I first got a HSE.

That's not a 'thick day' that's an 'I wonder' day... but worth it as at least I don't have to try it Laughing

Thanks, wouldn't have been easier for LR to make the CD unit read DVD's as well and save the seperate unit under the seat.

Lar, were talking about the factory fit Sat Nav system, below the drivers seat is a small disc reader - we were hoping (but we knew the answer) that if you replaced a sat nav disc with a normal DVD film disc it would play it and display it on the screen...but no it just reads the normal Sat Nav discs Big Cry

Yeah only sat nav discs.

Funny is that LR has a rear seat screen accessory kit on sale here, but the package includes only screens. You can't use the sat nav dvd player to command these screens either. So you will need buy a second dvd player to make use of the special accessory package if you buy it. Rolling with laughter 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone
