Hi - not sure what model your FL2 is but adjacent to the key fob point is the small grill in the dash that is the air capture point for the Climate Control. Behind this point there is a fan of some sort - could this be noisy. Not sure when its operative but I would imagine it's isolated when Climate/Air con switched completely off. |

Anything to do with whatever it is that sucks in the key? It sounds like some kind of electric motor.

Had a look, it's really annoying noise isn't it. I dont think it's anything desperate, perhaps a loose earth or something to do with the ignition button. I had problems in that area, car wouldn't start and it was traced to the button, but it took LR technical 10 days in the garage to work it out, hence I am a bit paranoid about the start button. |

After watching your video, it sounds like something rubbing the fan blades as they rotate. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |

It's the small fan motor of the interior temperature sensor.
