Looking for a freelander

Hi guys, in the process of looking for a freelander, presently have a mk5 golf gti but have had a freelander 1 and two defenders in the past. Got a budget of between £13-15,000
Just wondering if you can help me out with a few questions.
1.Does the GS come with cruise as standard?

2.I know the S doesn't have terrain response but what else doesn't it have?

3.What specs have the bluetooth connectivity and is it possible to retrofit the bluetooth headunit.

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Welcome Freelaner,

The GS does have cruise as standard Thumbs Up

The S has no T/R, no boot cover, 16' Wheels & a crap stereo

Not sure if you can retro the blue tooth head unit-however it's crap anyway-get an aftermarket kit i.e. parrot I have a nokia cw15 kit fitted Thumbs Up

yep Single CD, less preset buttons, no bluetooth, less speakers, no sub or amp

MY10 models differ from previous models, new GS has more kit as standard and SE model been dropped

hmm the stereo is the only thing putting me off at the moment, searched through a few threads and upgrading seems a bit of a mission.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Aintree Green

Hi Freelaner

I think you have all the info already but I have an 07 GS if you have any further questions - as a FL1 owner previously I can thoroughly recomend switching to FL2 - it wasn't the first alternative I tried..but after getting in the FL2 I bought it there and then.

The GS has all the goodies I want - going higher (old XS you get phone integration now on new GS too)

Richard

Yes, I'd agree, but the S I've got has privacy, seat pack, clear view pack, cold pack, reversing sensors etc. etc.

Yes, I know, the wife considered she was being frugal, not something she is noted for, then wapped on 3k's worth of kit and three sets of alloys. I'd been cheaper buying a GS, but she wouldn't hear of it. now she wants a new GS, she hasn't even clocked up 12k miles in 2 years, you know, she strolls downstairs in the morning and says, I have a mission for you.......... I will never learn, she has never been right in her life, whereas I am always right. That said, you sound as if you know the feeling.
