Some time ago I downloaded various Freelander 2 handbooks in PDF form for future reference.

When I recently referenced the FL2 Owners Handbook I found that it only had the first 25 pages (but it lists contents upto p259!) and so is fairly useless.

I have searched all over the place to download again and cannot find any of these manuals.

It was the same link I used before and it is the same file.

When I open the file using Firefox, it still only appears to have 25 pages (however there is a set of hyperlinks in the left hand pane that will allow access to the rest of the manual by subject).

If I save it and open it in Acrobat, I no longer get the hyperlinks and on the forst 25 pages are available.

I should clarify that I opened the LR2 Owners Handbook, which had 25 pages. I have since found the FL2 Owners Handbook (on the second page of the link you sent me) and it has the same issues but with 31 pages,

I also opened in Internet Explorer and it is identical.

It seems that the manual is organised into sections that can be accessed from the hyperlinks. The first section is Quick Start (25 pages in LR2, 31 pages in FL2). If you try a hyperlink like Parking Aid then you go to a section of two pages only.

The hyperlinks don't appear to be available in Acrobat, which means the manual is only readable in some form when on-line (you cannot guarantee to be on-line here ) 09 HSE Auto Lago Grey/Almond Napoli. Privacy glass.

Select the hyperlink to each section separately and save each section as a separate pdf file.  2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Indeed, it's nice to have all in one file, nevertheless having them separate (by chapters/topics) has its advantages. It's easier when you quick search for something, for example.
Anyway, the file that I've posted was obtained by saving the pdf files one by one, just like Wintermute suggested (and you discarded as a solution) and then merge them together with pdfsam.
