Decided a few weeks ago to update my 08 GS Auto with 25000mls to a 09 or 59 low mileage GS or SE auto.
Made a few enquiries had varied response, eventually confirmed sale (and salesperson at my request confirmed car was auto with full 2010 spec) for 59 XS (2010 m/year) with a well known north england dealer and paid £1000 deposit on tuesday. Phone call tonight to say when car in workshop for checkover it was a MANUAL.
Then came the excuses, "sales manager has offered to give you discount on new GS auto then quoted a price including £399 for gap insurance and £299 for lifetime polish treatment.
Immediately requested a return of my deposit. All FL2's (3) Gone

And angry that they think a XS cockup is going to be quelled by a discount on a newer version of what you have already
