Mine goes in for a 2nd service tomorrow morning - 18k miles.. Got my local dealer, Beadles in Sidcup to price match a local independent LR specialist in tunbridge. £290 all in. When i first called they originally quoted me £456! Shocked but dropped to £290 without batting an eye lid.... even so £290 is still steep IMO for what is actually done!

Still, at least its done for another year....

I was wondering if there are any warranty or recall 'issues' i should bring up while i'm there... I've already mentioned the wear on the B pillars due to the seatbelt... Was thinking about asking for a firmware update but not sure if this is done regardless... or if it's not broke don't try to fix it approach? 2008 SE, HSE wheels, Black Premium Leather, Privacy Glass, Sports Kit, Side Steps, various LED upgrades and Clear side indicators.

certainly I would say if it's running fine with no problems I would leave it alone, as the more things they mess about with the more chance there is of them making a booboo.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread because I suspect a few owners are about to celebrate their cars 2 year anniversary. Unfortunately Land Rovers servicing prices are little to celebrate about... Big Cry

Does anyone have any franchised recommendations for the Dorset/Somerset/Hampshire area? So far I've been quoted £444, £400 and £459 from the local stealers which I think is a bit steep? Censored

Which part of Hampshire? Is Guildford too far as I recommend Guava although I don't know the price for 2nd service. Worth a call. Phil

Thanks Phil, I'm in the New Forest. Guildford isn't too far but I'd like to keep a franchised dealer stamp in the book (I'm not convinced the car is a 'keeper' and I may sell in the next year) and Guava don't appear to be listed as an approved centre.

But they are, they don't sell any cars. just an approved service centre, hence costs can be lower. They are on the LR website. Phil

Cheers, I'll give them a ring tomorrow then Thumbs Up

I realise that when I checked the Land Rover site it defaults to Sales Centre when I should have selected Authorised Repairer Embarassed
