Cyprus 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
Fl2 sport LE VS GS

Hi guys,

Yesterday i had a look at the new sport LE freelander 2 version from close and looks really nice, especially with the new 19'' two coloured wheels.
When i asked for the price the LE is sold at around 30000 euro and the GS around 37000 euro (i bought mine, GS for 40000 Euro before 1.5 years).

Looking at the specs of the sport LE and comparing it to the specs of GS looks that LE has more extras than the GS, Engine is the same except that LE has the start/stop thing and in addition it has 19'' wheels, colour coded body kit, door handles, colour coded side mirrors, rear spoiler, electric seat adjustment, door seals e.t.c

So i am really puzzled by the difference in price between the two models, why is the sport LE cheaper than GS since it was more extras than the GS and also is a 2010 model??? Freelander 2 GS TD4, Stornoway Grey, Manual, called BEAST!!!

thanks for the reply Npinks but could you please expand a bit on that.

What i understand for this models is that the GS is the same as S model + more extras, so the LE is the S +more extras too which is the same, probably i didn't understand what he mean that LE is based on a S model Smile Freelander 2 GS TD4, Stornoway Grey, Manual, called BEAST!!!

also i forgot to mention that in the uk website the Sport LE Special Edition with body styling is considered higher in the model hierarchy and is priced more expensive than GS (LE= £26,695.00 GS= £25,050.00), but here in Cyprus LE is priced less than GS with around 6000 Euro difference! Freelander 2 GS TD4, Stornoway Grey, Manual, called BEAST!!!

Is This the official Cypress list price or your dealers selling price?
Maybe your dealer has old stock off GS models that he paid more for and got a delivery of LE's with icentives/discounts/better exchange rate.
Special editions are normally to get rid of of an over supply of parts/cars. ( They should of put rear screens in as standard Laughing )
Maybe LR2MAKER can comment?
