2008 Freelander spec /colours cannot be released (embargoed they call it) in the uk until 24th August

I'm about to place my order I might hold off until I see If any changes/options are added to my potential td4 GS in an unknown colour!!!

First to find out changes gets a pat on the back from me.

It's also worth remembering that changes aren't always positive - I had an early Disco3 TDV6 S; to get the same spec now I'd have to get a GS and still spend quite a bit on optional extras.

I just like to cover all my bases when making a large purchase. I can't see prices going down but if spec gets beter then I'll order new, if worse then I'll order from stock. A good all-round informed choice...and yes I am that anal!!!

I would imagine existing orders will remain as 07 models unless the delaer has pre-ordered an 08 model, and would expect that yours will be a 07 model.

The dealer in Dubai has told me they are allowing orders for the 2008 models now with the expected delivery in October time.

The only problem with new models is that it can mean an excuse to change the pricing as well, which I hope is not the case, and if it is then I'll quite happily take an 07.

I called LR HQ Marketing & Sales in late May 2007, to check if there were any new FL2 colours likely this year, as I was a tad unimpressed with the current range. They were as clear as they could be that there were NO plans for new colours this year, so I went ahead and placed my order for Stornoway SE auto.

Now I see the extremely nice Caspian Blue on offer in Germany! Interesting to note that this colour is NOt on the UK site yet though. Maybe they were telling the truth.

Seriously though, it is about time that this fanatastic car was offered in a few additional (& brighter) colours, more suited to the image projected in the FL2 ads!!  Life is not a dress rehearsal!

Previously we only had one model- the SE- but they have a few changes in store for the fall.

Sent a mail to the dealer in Dubai yesterday and got the response that for the 2008 models that will be going to the Middle East there will be no changes and there will be a prce increase

They may have just ruined all of my plans for getting the FL2 unless I can get them to give a discount (which is very hard over there) or an 07 model

I'm all signed up for a 2008 caspian blue.
Just a 4 to 6 week wait now.

I've seen a 2008 model with a whitish screen on the radio. Anyone know what that could mean?
