2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver
3Gs iPhone and Bluetooth?

Hi,

We have just picked up our first freelander, it a 2007 hse and we are delighted.

One thing though, we have two iPhones, one is the older 3G and one is a newer 3GS, the older one paired without a problem but the newer one wont. Neither the car or the phone will see each other.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks, Andrew.

Just got a new iPhone 3Gs running 3.1.2 and it paired up. Although it seemed to take me a while to get it to work.

in the end, my solution was to get the phone to search for the freelander (not the other way around) which seems to be against what the book said. Anyway I did it It found landrover, so I asked it to connect to Landrover. It asks for a code, the one you need in this case is 2121.

I really haven't gone to any trouble to understand this, but could it possibly be because the phone was searched and the landrover was searching and hence neither was listening? '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

Here is exactly what I did.

1) make sure no phone is currently paired with the FL2.
2) Start engine of FL2. [Do not get the Fl2 searching for the phone]
3) On the iPhone, go to settings, general, bluetooth. Make sure it is on (highlight blue). The phone starts seaching. After about 90 seconds, mine came up stating "landrover".
4) click on Landrover and enter the code 2121.

Not sure what else to suggest. '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

SHMBO has a iphone 3Gs and has no troubla at all with it pairing up. We had to let the car search for the phone same as this with my Blackberry. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Um.... confession.....

There was nothing wrong with the bluetooth, just the daftie trying to use it.

When I was setting the car to search, I was not actually setting it to do so. I needed to ok the message on the display before it would do that. When I worked that little bit out, it paired instantly.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll go now....
