Replacement front body kit...

Hi,

driving out and about yesterday having a bit of fun in some flooded areas - got home and saw that the middle section of my front body kit had disappeared!! Shocked

Anyone know where I could get a replacement middle section of a front Freelander2 body kit in silver?

I was tempted to go and look for it (in the dark), but it was about an hour away and would've been floating down a river somewhere!

Thanks for any suggestions.

If you mean the underside, i'm sure i saw one in chrome on Fleabay 2 days ago. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.

If it's the strip you have to remove to get to the tow hitch, you have to buy the full kit. Sad
Keep looking on ebay some times they go cheap then split the kit down and sell the pieces.

Neil,

Thats annoying, they seem quite easy to come adrift it seems.Only glued on, early cars double sided tape.Anyway you can buy a new one in primer from your local Land Rover Parts department, they cost £110.25 + Vat.Then what ever the cost of spraying it would be,this sort of thing varies from dealers. Its a shame they dont supply them painted, like the door handles or mirror caps, would be so much easier.

hope this helps.........

I know the part you refer to, it is the centre section of the actual body kit which should be held in by 2 screws underneath!
There was a full kit in silver on ebay the other day and a black one.

You can buy the bodykit parts seperately in primer but I think the front part comes in the 3 pieces or at least it did when I bought it but then I did need all 3 bits. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I bought the centre section of te front kit you refer to, just never got around to fitting it yet as I have been off road to much and don't think the front and rear sections of the kit will last long, I bought direct from LR and it wasn't expensive, less than £30 anyway. It is the towing eye cover for the front. Part number is LR002782

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will check out the ebay links and also check up with a local dealer on the part. The car is looking a bit weird at the moment!

Thanks again.
