After reading through many posts on the subject I purchased from flea bay item number eBay Item No. 150404393906 - £210 posted (shame I didn't see that they would probably have accepted £205 I always like to feel I've got the best deal) arrived this afternoon look really good - All being well I shall be attempting to fit them albeit without the Rivnut tool as I don't have one, thanks to all previous posts on the subject.

When fitted I'll post a photo

Exactly as I've done thanks, even without being too mechanically minded it doesn't look too difficult just have to find the time over the weekend.

took me just over 1 hour to do my sidesteps without the tool so it definatly can be done the longest process is getting the trim off without breaking clips and also fitting them back without breaking them lol

Took me about 2 hours... Make sure the brackets you fit to the underside are in order - I got two the wrong way around and had to taken them off and refit as the wholes for the steps did not align up.

Best to fit everything loose, and then tighten up once you are sure the steps will fit.

Had a few problems with the bottom of the doors rubbing on the steps when closing and opening (i have the sports kit fitted) - but you do have slight height adjustment on the brackets, so was able to get it just right.

When fitting the rivnuts (as per CG guide), make sure you use a long bolt that will go right the way thought the rivnut. If you use a bolt supplied, with it going though a 2nd nut, not enough tread would have gone through and you risk stripping the thread out of the rivnut. The bolts supplied are fine for fixing, but not long enough to fit the rivnuts securely.
I had the tread strip out on one while the rivnut was still loose and have to taken the whole rivnut out and use a spare (a real pain in the )

Overall a good buy which I'm really pleased with - much better than the tubes I had on before - the car has a lot more presence now IMO

Unfortunately time didn't allow this weekend, much to the wife's annoyance (as it's her car) - I managed to take off the sill without breaking any of those studs and also drilled the inserts, still have the other side to do which shouldn't take too long, then it's those rivnuts - Good advice on the length of the bolt.

Well time was on my side this weekend helped by fixing the rivnuts during the week - Side Steps now fitted and looking good, now I can't find the camera to take a picture - Overall reasonably easy to do fitted perfectly.
