How can it be "Total Spec" when your having to shake your left arm and move your left leg every 20 secs to change gear?

I read up to this bit and dismissed everything else..........you're comparing a FL2 HSE with a Rover 75 Tourer Conk-for-sure? Whilst you're at it, why don't you demand 10yrs warranty, 10yrs worth of servicing and 10yrs worth of tyres.... |

I don't know about anyone else but when my cars goes into the dealers i have more important things to talk about than why my handbook has five variations of the word 'handbook'. And the left hand drive photos in the hand book has never really gave me cause for concern. |

I understand what you mean, some of the things that are options, should possibly be standard (but I guess its the same with all cars these days)

I simply meant that 10 years ago the same company had a better option than on the current model & the relation to the 75 was that they were under the same group at the time of launch & many features were shared.
I agree it is trivial but as they AGREED if things are not mentioned they can't be improved. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red. (Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red. Auto gearbox was an extra £1300.00 which I considered to be a waste of money even though I would have prefered that option. The dealer said that it is about 50/50 split when it comes to sales regarding automatic or manual gearboxes so one could say the same if you ordered an auto as a manual is a drivers car! Regarding Xenons, as mentioned in an earlier post they were wanted but again far too expensive. If I had added these 2 options this would have been an extra £2K on the list price which was high enough as it was & would make virtually no difference to it's value when selling it. I think they did that to make the car cheaper when pure basic. They have a completely stripped version called the S which even hasn't got the TR.
